How the time-to-power window was estimated
Evidence used
  • Current stage: Under construction (furthest stage with documented evidence)[1]
  • Construction elapsed: Construction documented since 2024-11-01 (1.9 years).
  • Stated date: Next projected milestone: 2027-02-01 (modeled/speculative)[1]
  • Required: 570 MW
Assumptions
  • From “Under construction”, large loads have typically taken 0.5–2 more years to first power (editorial range; see Methodology).
  • Construction to first power typically takes 1.25–2.5 years.
  • The window is a range of plausible outcomes under these assumptions, not a forecast. It moves as new filings, queue updates or imagery arrive.
Window: H1 2027 – H2 2027

Interconnection records

No interconnection-queue record is linked to this site. Of the ISOs we ingest, only NYISO publishes large-load requests; PJM, ERCOT, MISO, SPP and CAISO queues list generation only.

Utility, ISO and nearby assets are derived from the site's location. Proximity to a substation or line doesn't establish the interconnection; that needs a utility filing or interconnection-queue record. Queue requests are applications, not commitments — most never reach operation.

Timeline

Construction start: Nov 1, 2024[1]
First operational: Feb 1, 2027[1]
  1. Nov 1, 2024[1]

    Land clearing begins.

  2. Feb 14, 2026[1]

Buildings 1 and 2 under construction. Building 1's chillers are almost all in place, while only half of Building 2's are. Optimus substation, which is the substation on site, and the expansion of Dowling Substation, an existing substation to the northeast of the data center, appear complete.

  3. Jul 30, 2026[1]

Roofs of Buildings 1 and 2 are more than halfway complete. All chillers for both buildings are visible. Construction on Buildings 3 and 4 has begun, with outlines laid. Construction on the Apollo Power Generation Project (a BTM power plant built just to the east of the data center) is in progress, with foundations poured and generation equipment being set in place.

  4. Feb 1, 2027Projected117 MW facility power· 1 buildings operational[1]

Building 1 is operational, based on a 5 month extrapolation from its roof completion date.

  5. Apr 1, 2027Projected220 MW facility power· 2 buildings operational[1]

Building 2 is operational, based on construction progress as of Sep 2026 and foundations being laid around 2 months after Building 1.

  6. Jan 1, 2028Projected570 MW facility power· 4 buildings operational[1]

Buildings 3 and 4 are operational, based on their construction starting 11 months after Building 1. We assume they are powered by the 350 MW Apollo Power Generation Project.
